What we do

Using the acoustic design review and measurements we work with you to develop an improvement plan tailored to your listening room, your budget and constraints. These changes could include:

  • changes to positioning of loudspeakers and seating
  • addition, removal or changing the position of room treatments
  • addition of sub woofers and / or equalization to optimize low frequency response
  • changes in type and amount of furnishings including window treatments
  • structural change such as installing doors or modifying walls
  • You can tell from the list above that what may be appropriate and acceptable for one situation and customer may not work for another (e.g. a dedicated home theater vs a family room). For many the improvement plan will be a journey, to be continued as budget and circumstances allow.

    What you get

Typically we produce a 10-15 page report (the 'Acoustic Diagnosis Report') in which the findings from the design review, measurements and critical listening are contained together with our improvement recommendations. We propose an overall acoustic design and from this determine the number, type and location of acoustic treatments. At your request we can also provide quotes from our suppliers. Costs for structural changes to your room will need to be put together in conjunction with your builder. We can provide specifications for changes and also ongoing monitoring services during a build phase to ensure plans are adhered to.
