We are selling acoustic treatment from three wonderful suppliers:

Although not well known in audiophile and home theater circles, Acoustics First do very high quality, reasonably priced covered fabric fiberglass panels ('Sonora'). These panels come in any of 48 Gilford of Maine FR701 colors with a choice of 5 edge designs and in thicknesses from 1" to 4". These panels are typically used to provide general absorption in a room and treat first reflection points. This company also has a flat panel diffusor ('Hiper') that combines absorption and diffusion in a compact package. These panels also come in any of the 48 Gilford of Maine colors for that coordinated look!

For the more adventurous, the Transfusor is a transluced diffusor that can be backlighted with white or colored light for an uber-modern aesthetic.

One of the oldest, best (and most expensive) acoustic suppliers, RPG has a superb line of products that incorporate diffusion. Two products of particular relevance to music and home theater systems are the Abffusor and the BAD panels which are combined absorptive / diffusive products that can be used at the mirror points on the sidewalls. Using a combination product in this location increases soundstage envelopment, in terms of both depth and width.

We have also just started selling Real Traps because they offer 'off the shelf' products for those who need their acoustic treatment yesterday! Real Traps leadtimes are much shorter than Acoustics First or RPG because they hold stock of finished products. Obviously this means that the color selection is limited, in fact they only offer 6 colors as standard. At least its better than 'any color as long as it is black'! They also manufacture absorbers in thicknesses not available from other suppliers (e.g. the 'MondoTrap' which is 6" thick) which can be useful for combating those pesky 70 or 80Hz nulls caused by speaker boundary interference.
