Primacoustic Stratus
The Primacoustic Stratus acoustic ceiling panel or ceiling cloud is an effective way of absorbing ceiling reflections. It is hung by wire from the ceiling. An air space is therefore created between the panel and the ceiling, increasing absorption down to low frequencies. The other advantage of a dedicated ceiling panel is that it can be hung at an angle. When an acoustic panel is set at any angle other than 90 degrees relative to the incoming sound wave reflection occurs. This decreases the absorption coefficient compared to the laboratory figures. Tilting the panel reduces this reflection and therefore increases absorption.
