CEA/CEDIA CEB22 – Home Theater Recommended Practice: Audio Design

“CEDIA and its certified Electronic Systems Contractors (ESCs) follow these practices to deliver high value to dedicated home theater environments, helping ensure full performance potential for the equipment and the room.”

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) created a partnership in 2009 to create a set of home theater design standards.

CEB-22, Home Theater Recommended Practice: Audio Design, is the first document to be released from this effort. The guide outlines recommendations for the audio design of high performance home theaters.

Topics covered include loudspeaker layout, seating layout, low frequency optimization, sound isolation, the interior acoustical treatment of rooms and audio system component installation.
